Morgan is back at the hospital.

It all started with 2 bad apnea spells last night (Friday) then he had a couple during the night, a few in the morning, followed by several throughout Saturday. He had a total of about 25 apnea episodes in the 24 hour period.

We went to the ER at about 2 pm. Morgan was finally admitted to the Pediatric Core at about 8:30 pm. They are keeping him for observation, and have done a chest X-ray and run blood work. Once we have blood results we will know more.

The chest X-Ray showed signs of pneumonia, but they could also just be normal preemie lungs, so the blood culture will tell us more and they are holding off on giving him antibiotics until we have those results.

Other than the apnea spells Morgan seems perfectly healthy so we are hopeful that he’™ll be back home in a day or so.

UPDATE: Stayed overnight for some tests…all clear. they think it might a been a acid reflux episode that didnt clear up right away (I think it was switching to the Chest band version of the monitor)…so they upped his Zantac and sent him home Sunday Morning.
