Well the buzz around the NICU is that Morgan may go home by the end of the week or the beginning of next week!

He is now up to about 6 oral feedings a day. His current order is for 2 oral feedings followed by one Gavage feeding. He can take as much by mouth as he will eat. This morning he took 55ccs, but at lunch he didn’t show much interest in breast feeding and only took 20ccs by bottle, so he was probably still full from his big breakfast.

As Don mentioned in his last post, Auntie Dia gave a shower for the San Diego clans. But I just waned to say how great it was! There were monkeys and duckies everywhere, even in the bathroom! The food was great, the décor was great, the turnout was great, and we are so grateful to be so loved. Morgan is indeed a lucky boy. His quilt from Auntie Dia and Great-Grandma is so precious, it is something we will always treasure, I am honored that she has passed it on to Morgan; it is truly a family heirloom. Auntie Dia Rocks! We received such nice gifts for Morgan, he is going to be the best dressed little boy in Long Beach, that’s for sure! Thank you everyone!

Don/Dad is taking this week off to get Morgan’s room ready, so it will be a busy week for him.
