It’s that time again. Global Pandemic (Not caused by our President…despite what you heard) Edition… Time to pull the lever for who we want to be. (although this time for most of you, it is more about who you hate)…case in point.
OMSmedia Pick for President: Donald John Trump – coach was winning super bowls (wall, economy, energy independence, jobs, Israel, ISIS, Syria, North Korea…and oh the Judges) before the pandemic…. now you want replace him with a dementia riddled dude who hasn’t won a fucking game? And you want to go from the solid moral compass of Mike Pence to the chick that rode on men’s coattails to get her power (and about to do it again)? …and…made it impossible to get the gun I want in California (Microstamping?….really!!)
All my Local and state representative races have Democrats on both sides and the current incumbents are not that bad…so stick with the evil you know and roll the dice. But I want to give some shout outs to others in state. LA DA Jackie Lacey gets a shout out….so does Eric Early and Mike Garcia…take a look if you are in their districts.

OMSmedia Says: Hey lets get another loan so we can buy baby parts….whoo hoo…..no. We did this already. Stop trying to compete with research hospitals and medical schools.

OMSmedia Says: Chipping away at Prop 13 again (Taxes based on initial property purchase) this prop reassesses value each year to get more revenue taxes to ‘help schools’ (doesn’t work that way…and no student will ever see it…pensions only)

Repeal Proposition 209 Affirmative Action Amendment
OMSmedia Says: They want to bring affirmative action back…buy killing Prop 209 (that got rid of it to promote constitutionality and fairness.)

OMSmedia Says: Current Law (voting rights restored after parole completed) This Prop (restore voting rights when released from prison) WHILE STILL ON PAROLE….No thank you. (Democrat Vote Grab)

OMSmedia Says: Bait and switch: Prop allows seniors to keep current property tax rate when moving to new residence (fire victims get the perk as well) …Seems nice…but screws everyone who inherits a house from their parents or grandparents. Prop 13 allows the property tax assessment to be based on initial purchase of the house when inherited by immediate family…that stays intact…. this prop removes that…and the house is reassessed at transfer.

Criminal Sentencing, Parole, and DNA Collection Initiative
OMSmedia Says: This one corrects the flaws for Prop 47, AB 109 and Prop 57 that flooded the streets with criminals. Makes new guidelines for what crimes get parole…and Forced DNA samples for some misdemeanors…I like me some law and order props.

OMSmedia Says: Both sides think it is stupid and snuffs out new construction…I agree with them.

OMSmedia Says: Gets rid of Bail…. Time to sing the Beretta Theme song…everybody now: Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time..no no no.

This requires 10% of unrestricted budget go to BLM supported initiatives to fight systemic institutional racism.

Oil Tax
Double the tax (15 to 30 cents) per barrel on oil extraction in city limits…money goes to…..wait for it…..general fund.
OMSmedia Says: This reminds me of the story of Signal Hill…they annexed themselves and formed their own city (they used to be Long Beach) because of shit like this.
