The 7 time married lounge singer that took a little bit of my soul in 1994’¦has left the building. Georgia Frontiere
has died. The first marriage at age 15 was eventually annulled. Her second husband was killed when hit by a bus. She left her third husband to try to make it as a showgirl in Las Vegas. Her fourth marriage ‘“ to a stage manager of the Sacramento Music Circus ‘“ ended in divorce after three years. Husband No. 5 was a Miami television producer. She married Rosenbloom in 1966, shortly after he took over the Baltimore Colts. He eventually swapped that franchise for the Rams, which his wife took control of after he suspiciously drowned (he was an VERY good swimmer). Carol still owned the Rams when I saw my first game’¦but Georgia was the ever present thorn in my side through my season ticket years and midnight runs to San Francisco. She is still one of the examples I use to explain my strange distrust of blondes. When I heard the news I did a little dance’¦not a joyous one (one should never have a joyous dance at the death of another) but a little dance that showed that a weight had been lifted. The Rams wont be coming back’¦but I will still love them (unless they change their uniform to black’¦.hear that Ducks’¦I didn’t get celebrate the cup because of that principle’¦grrrrrr) So on to a new chapter’¦a little bit lighter’¦and probably a little bit MORE faithful.
Bye Bye Georgia’¦.you will never be on mind again.
(P.S. My beloved Deb has disowned any knowledge of this evil diatribe…but she does that most days)
